None of us are culture-free. We live in a particular culture in a particular time. The gospel is the answer to the primary need of every person in every culture. However, how do we live and communicate the truth of the gospel in the specific culture that we are living?
In this module you will have some introductory teaching on contextualisation and the importance of being led by the Spirit and then stories from those who are contextualising the gospel and how they are encountering and challenging cultural strongholds in the places that they are living. The module will finish with a session on the importance of cross-cultural church planting teams contextualising to the culture.
