Module 4: The Importance of Preparation (Foundations Part I)

7 Lessons

It was Benjamin Franklin who said that, “By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.”

This is true when considering moving overseas: it is essential to prepare. The Importance of Preparation modules help you think about some of the key things to consider as you prepare to move overseas. These modules are less theologically focused than others and more focused on the practical steps and things to consider before moving overseas. They will cover topics that many people living overseas will say, “I wish I’d had some training on this topic before we went.”

In this module you will consider the following aspects:

  • Preparing yourself to go
  • Being Sent by the local church
  • Prepaing to go as a family
  • Helpful training before you go
  • Business and supporting yourself financially

Abraham Lincoln said “Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.” The preparation is crucial ground work for the mission and part of the journey that God will take you on. We hope this module equips you.
