The promise of the gospel is more than individual salvation. Through the cross, God is bringing all things together in Christ, and this means that both our relationship with him is renewed and our relationships with one another are restored. This is the glorious truth that the letter to the Ephesians is written to explore.
In the church, God has made one new man out of people groups who were naturally enemies, and this unity as sent shockwaves of wonder through the heavens. Now, as his redeemed people the call is on us to do the good works he has prepared for us in advance by truly being the loving, united community that we are.
