Not the gospel itself, nor even the word ‘gospel’, but the way people use it as a prefix for everything these days.

Just because you put the word ‘gospel’ in front of something, doesn’t make it about the gospel.

Just because you say something is Bible-based, doesn’t mean it is.

Just because you tell me something is centred on Jesus, it doesn’t mean that is the reality of the situation.

Chances are, if you have to tell me that something is ‘gospel’, ‘Bible-based’ or ‘Jesus-centred’, then it probably isn’t.

These things can usually speak for themselves.
