Episode 6

What is the value of art to the church? How can artists and churches work together fruitfully? These are two questions that seem quite simple but can lead to frustratingly abstract answers. However, in today’s video, Jemma Mellor, an artist, and Hannah Fielder, a leader in a local church, talk us through a collaborative project which gives very concrete and illuminating answers to both of these questions.

If you’re interested in finding out more about how your church could engage artists to help you to reach out into your local community, contact Jonny (jonny.mellor@sptnk.co.uk) and if you’d like to support Redeemer church’s Red Arts initative, all the details of how to give are found here- http://redeemerbirmingham.org.uk/give/ (use the reference REDARTS)
